It reveals the depressive process as the basic human possibility to respond to overwhelming misery with searching protection. - While the grief leaves the longing and accepts the loss - the depressive person remains in his bond to the lost. - Our feelings are nothing accidental and nothing harmful. - The negative sensations of the depressive (for example, complaints about loss, physical discomfort, insomnia) do not trivialize, interpret or deny. No flat comfort or trivial encouragement. No further amelioration maneuvers, if first trials don't help. - Do not make life-important decisions during the depression, e.g. divorce, having children, etc. - Support the depressant person that he does not lie in bed in the morning, does not retire early in the evening and does not completely isolate himself during the day. - Don't be discouraged in dealing with depression, e.g. if one feels that the depressive reacts to everything negatively and devalizes everything. - Think of it, that he is very sensitive. and is vulnerable and easily hears that he is unworthy. The sense of humor is often lost in the depression. If possible stay in the present, with the current feeling ... (D. Hell)
The narcissist is a person who cultivates an image at the expense of himself. Feelings that contradict this image, he denies. Without values of the self and without a self-feeling rooted in the body, he experiences his life as empty and senseless. Power, success and material values he respects more than human needs. - The main reason for the popularity of the TV is that it gives people the opportunity to escape themselves. The narcissist seeks his excitement in the challenge of winning and losing, - in the struggle for power and in situations of danger! His arousal comes from an imminent loss of money, power or life, - and his ability to overcome the threat! For the narcissist, winning is less important than non-losing! - People who live closer to the subsistence level may experience more discomfort, but they also know the greater pleasure of fulfillment when their basic needs are met. - Desire is the key to pleasure! - The dead have no desire, depressants have little desire, and the elderly have less desire than younger ones! Children who are most alive feel the greatest desire and the greatest pleasure when their desires become reality. - Narcissists are neither careless nor innocent. They have learned to play, seduce and manipulate the game of power. And they must keep control, for the loss of mastery awakens their fear of madness! - It is difficult to resist the temptation of power, especially when a child was offended and betrayed by those who were loved. To sell the kingdom of heaven for power is a trade with the devil ... (A. Lowen)
