03.01.1999 - Interpretation of dali48

Do we want to stop this flowing stream (see our life, etc. - d.48) before this end... - and can we? - Or do we go along?
The 3 basic features:
Impermanence, insufficiency or lack of fulfillment, lack of substance... - If we can concentrate well, then there is simply breathe... - and not: "I" breathe or observe etc...
In human life there is not only the danger of dying - but also the constant danger of making bad karma - whereby our living conditions can be significantly worsened. Bad and good karma usually have immediate results. We do not need to wait for the future - Transitoriness is overshadowed by continuity, unfulfillment... - by movement (see, for example, cars, traveling etc. - d.48)... (Ayya Khema)

No more passions are thrown upon the fire of desire - and therefore this fire goes out... (Buddha)

10 fetters that bind us to this existence ("samsara"):
belief in the personality, doubtfulness, adherence to rules and rituals, sensual desire, ill will, desire for delicate existence, desire for the formless plane (see soul), conceit, "I" illusion, restlessness, ignorance. From now on, we have the right understanding of ourselves, namely, that here is nothing but a phenomenon which consists of spirit and body, and that all identifications are only burdens The old does not oppress us, the new evokes us - May all human beings forgive themselves and others... (Ayya Khema)

There is the suffering, but no sufferer - There is the deed, but no offender... - There is the path... - however no one who walks it - There is "nirvana", but none who is redeemed... (Buddha)
