Part1: Our lack of mutual respect is specific not only for family systems. - We carry the lessons learned from our home into a modern social structure, which often has the same lack of respect for individuals, communities and nature - as the dysfunctional family for its members! ... (C. Grof)
How do we survive in a world that does not recognize and respect our sacred uniqueness? - We are producing clever survival strategies that remove, stun or deal with our pain, - in order to defend ourselves against external sources of our difficulties! - Many of them (abused children) develop a well-attuned radar, an intuitive or psychic "scanner" - which helps them to anticipate, see through and outmaneuver threats! - The intuition comes from our deeper "self" (see phylogenetic & ontogenetic unconsciousness etc. - d.48), from the spiritual resources that are beyond our ordinary faculties! - We escape the pain around us by having our retreat to a safe harbor of the imagination, illusions, or in the transpersonal realms (the unconscious)! - Injured children defend, maintain and strengthen themselves by the temporary withdrawal from daily life! - They give off the guard by the fact that they separate their consciousness from the rest, so that they do not have to take note of their actual circumstances, or deal with it! - This inner sanctuary (see migration to the inside, daydreams, etc. - d.48) offers the child (and adults, etc. - d.48) safety and comfort! - It reflects its unconscious attempt to provide for itself! - In this (inner) realm, it (abused child / adults, etc. - d.48) can feel a kind of "divine" help, a mystical care supply (see e.g. mystics etc - d.48), the unconditional solace and connection, that they can not get in their outer world! - This may even be its first mystical experience! - Researchers have found that there is a mechanism by which the consciousness of the victim triggers itself from its terrible condition (see e.g. near-death experience and a consciousness floating outside the body etc. - d.48), when the pain reaches a certain point! - It (the victim) suddenly changes into a state of consciousness that exists beyond the pain! - It transcends the pain and often experiences an ecstatic state in the middle of chaos! ... 26.05.2001 - Part 2 - Interpretation of dali48
We discover that we can escape from the present reality, whenever pain occurs! - We remove ourselves if our social or sexual relationships with partners can be difficult, if conversations contain unpleasant information or when we visit somewhere where we do not want to be! - These kids discover that the power of the mind is so great that it can successfully carry them away from physical pain and the intensity of their fear, anger, sadness and confusion! - They often close their emotional and physical needs safely away and out of reach, - in favor of an overactive intellect! - Victims see themselves as people to whom great injustice happened! - The world conspires against them. - They feel handed in the intentions of men in their environment. - In this way they rid themselves of responsibility for their problems. - There is always someone else to blame on the difficulty, and the victim is only suffering and bears it! - Instead of showing our anger, we are angry at ourselves, or turn it into depression. - The more we are lonely, the more we long for our divine origins and our totality, consciously or unconsciously. - Our perception of reality can be imposed by a veil of unhappiness, depending on how much abuse we have endured to. - Many of us see the world through a selective negative filter, often without being aware of it! - Somewhere deep inside we know that we're hiding, that we live a lie behind the false identity we have created. - Run (protected) by our own shame, we consider ourselves more or less isolated and protected. - We protect ourselves from the pain that comes from relationships with other people. - We hide ourselves so that no one learns the bare truth about our weaknesses (faults) ... We are afraid to fail or be professionally abandoned in a relationship ... Just as shame, suspicion awakens in us, it feeds our fear, distrust in others, in the process of life and even in "God" (see "Wholeness", see Cosmic Principles etc. - d.48) ... Inner fulfillment can not be obtained from external sources (see e.g. prophets, saints etc. - d.48)! - Sobriety (everyday consciousness) shrinks, differs and says "No"! - Drunkenness expands, creates unity and says "Yes"! - We can reach the source of our inspiration and creativity, peace, joy and love that we once were no longer accessible from the inside. - If we get into the depths of our addiction, we're in hell. - Many of us do not die physically, but stay caught between the enormous despair, which tells us we should die, and the huge fear of death! ...
