Joy is the feeling - grinning inside... (Dr. Melba Colgrove)
A healthy body is a guest room for the soul - a sick body a prison... (Bacon)
It turned out to be the same with money as it was with sex, you did not think of anything else until you had it - and you thought of something else as soon as you had it... (J. Baldwin)
One of the most important lessons of life is:
Learn to be happy without the things you can not achieve...
We simply exclude everything that is not changed, moved or new - We take the good that surrounds us or is in us just not true for a long time - If we do not perceive it, then we do not appreciate it, and if we do not appreciate it, then we are not grateful for it - Therefore we are not happy... - The blind trap and the treadmill of progress - put us under pressure and cause the opposite of joy: namely, fear and depression...
Anxiety and depression:
Impatience and resignation, over-commitment, higher expenses than income, excess and abstinence. There are many varieties of this ambiguous behavior - The extreme back and forth between the one pole of timidity and the other pole of depression is no pleasure - In the Bible, Jesus says (Sirach 30, 26): "Zeal and anger shorten life, and worry makes you old ahead of time" - Without the knowledge that something is good or evil, things are just neutral - You can enjoy them all equally - We do not struggle for one thing and fight against the other. So there is no fear and depression... - As long as our imagination develops an ideal of what we and others should be allowed to do and can, there will be no joy - We can only rejoice over something when it is perfect: brighter, cleaner, newer, better. It's never good enough... - The greatest damage is done when we believe in the truth of lies (ideals) - "The truth is that as it is," said Lenny Bruce, "as it should be is a dirty lie"... What we need most is not so much to realize the ideal - but to idealize the real... - The feeling of worthlessness (inferiority) and ingratitude destroy the joy and all other forms of wealth in our lives... (J. Roger / P. McWilliams)
