08.01.2013 - Interpretation of dali48
Narcissistic characters and psychopathic personalities show a need for instant gratification - an inability to curb their desire or bear frustration ... (A. Lowen)

One can define the self as the feeling aspect of the body. You can only experience it as a feeling. One might say, "I feel myself as angry, sad, hungry, sleepy," etc. - In fact, the stress of feeling makes the statement to the expression of the self. When you place the emphasis on the "ego," it becomes an I-statement. - You can not produce a sexual reaction, a desire, a feeling of love, or even anger by will, however much one may "think" of being able to do so. - Involuntary functions such as blood circulation, digestion and breathing have a profound effect on consciousness, for they determine the condition of the organism. Depending on how the body works, one feels healthy or ill, good mood or depressed, vital or depressed, sexually aroused or impotent. - The will or the ego is unable to produce a feeling, - though they may try to dominate the feeling. The self-acceptance is the lack of the narcissists who have separated their bodies from themselves so that the libido is invested in the ego, - and not in the body or in the self. Without self-assurance - there is no self-love! - Sex is a genuine expression of love when such a sharing takes place, but it is a narcissistic act when it is lacking. - Without the confirmation and admiration of others, the narcissistic ego falls into itself, for it has no connection to self-love and is not fed by it. - Only his ego is puffed up, as he rejects the admirers just as his true self. - In fact, man has a dual identity, - a part comes from identification with the ego, the other from identification with the body and his feelings. - By not letting any strong feelings into consciousness, narcissists can treat the body as an object that is subject to the domination of their will. - But as they remain conscious of the body, they remain oriented in space and time. - Man now admires the image (facade) that he projects, and falls in love with it like Narcissus. - This love is not a love, for with the facade (illusion) the person concerned has rejected his true self as unacceptable. - The innocent can be seduced by the promise of power or love or wealth or position. - This seduction takes place in our culture continually and encourages the development of narcissistic personalities. - Smile, and the world smiles with you! - Cry, and you cry alone! - You can only release the air from an image but you can not hurt it. If madness means that it is difficult for you to adapt to the world as it is, society is crazy. - Those of us who have a sense of the past who seek stability and security, do not want to change, and do not trust in computer systems - really have difficulties in adapting ... (L. Bellak)
