27.04.2010 - Interpretation of dali48
Endangered diversity - the secret of bee mortality. For some years billions of bees (also bumblebees etc. - d.48) die for no apparent reason (also in Erkrath etc. - always at the same season (June) etc. - d.48)! On the trail of the phenomenon. - One third of human food today depends directly on the bee: they are the most important pollinators of plants. In 2006, the news from the US made headlines, billions of bees were dead. The US government commissioned a group of scientists with the investigation of this mysterious dying, which immediately got its own name: Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD), in German: "ethnic collapse". - About the cause, there are so far only assumptions. (It follows for me: The bees, etc., are underfed in nature - reserve 10% of food production for the poor wild animals as they used to do for the rich church (the "Tenth") etc. - Poisoning by pesticides (neonics) etc. - They have a weakened immune system - by neonics, global warming etc. - d.48) ...
Mark Daniels follows the work of several scientists who use different hypotheses to try to understand the causes of the worldwide threat to honey and wild bees. He also explores the question of how it came to the radical changes in the relationship between man and bee (see deportation of bee colonies on trucks, across the US, for pollination of huge plantations, etc). Long before the CCD hit the headlines, scientists and beekeepers had noted the disappearance (see "loss" of concentration camp inmates, prisoners of war, etc.) of bees and other pollinators (this is also confirmed by my observations and experiences in recent years - so I have again and again fed bees that came into our apartment with a cotton swab dipped in honey, placed them on the cooling soil of a houseplant, and if they were able to crawl out of the plant pot, let them fly out of the window - see my diary of April 25, 2010 etc. - d.48) ... (ARTE, 5/2010)
Pesticides vary in their effects on bees. Contact pesticides are usually sprayed on plants and ... Some pesticides, including Neonicotinoids, are more toxic to bees and cause acute symptoms with lower doses ... effects and abnormal responses appear, including sub-lethal effects, other than the mortality, it should be reported .
Concerning the dying of the bees etc. - see neonics etc.- "Man produces evil - as Bees produce honey"... (dali48)
