All alienation and demarcation happens out of fear - There is a deep and irrational fear of death in every human being - This fear is also evident in the small deaths of the "ego":
Decline, no recognition, no love, no praise, not to be desired, insult, criticism etc. - fear that makes us withdraw from the people - But the people with whom he had to deal with it, did the opposite of what they said - The Buddha proved him right:
The elephant lives physically in the jungle, but man lives in the spiritual jungle - The good in the world is about the balance with the evil - sometimes outweighs the one, sometimes the other - As we deal with us - that's how the world deals with us.
Karma consequences:
If you want to be beautiful, you have to drop the trouble - Who wants to be rich, must be generous - Who wants to be smart, must ask: why? - Who wants to be healthy, must not hurt any living thing - Who wants to live long, must kill no living beings - But many are afraid of being alone with themselves, and really get to know themselves. Their restlessness is a sign that they have not found peace in themselves, and should actually be an impulse to seek it all the more emphatically - instead of yielding to restlessness.
It can also express itself as grief and suffering - as aggression and resistance. For the escape into activities, there is an apt word in English: "workaholic" - The senses are calm, and rest means peace, and peace means happiness - By the way, seeing is the strongest sensory function - What we see is what bothers us most (see e.g. destructive crowds, environmental destruction, etc. - d.48) ...
The Buddha called food, clothing, a roof over your head and, in the case of illness, medicine is what you need - The ego feels so insecure because it is an illusion and needs constant self-affirmation. If that does not happen, we feel endangered - and respond with self-defense or attack - Peace in the heart is possible for every individual - Peace in humanity is unlikely ... (Ayya Khema)
