02.03.1999 - Interpretation of dali48
Body and soul are two separate units... - is based on observation that one sees and feels in the sleep things... - which happen independently of the body... (S. Anthony)
Mourning reactions to death are:
1. Shock... 2. Somatic symptoms (breathing, weakness, loss of sleep and loss of appetite)... 3. Dislocation ("I do not believe it")... 4. Anger and feelings of guilt (against uninvolved, doctors and sisters, deceased)... 5. Confusion (feeling uncomfortable and humiliated)... 6. Depression (hopelessness, no feelings)... 7. Fear (before repetition)... 8. Curiosity (taboo)... 9. Sadness... 10. Replacement (confirmation by surviving parent etc)... 11. Imitation of the deceased (language, course, clothes, hobbies etc)...
Pathological mourning reactions:
continued denial, apathy, persistent anxiety, physical stress symptoms, persistent enmity, excessive idealization...
Therapy at:
Regression, uncleanliness, insomnia, extreme aggression, hyperactivity, prolonged concentration disorders, complete change (see feelings or thoughts)...
Suppressed grief:
1. School problems... - delinquency, withdrawal... - promiscuity, 5. rejection of friendship...
It is of fundamental importance to give children a positive attitude to death... - The staff (see hospital, etc.) is used in such a way that information does not reach the patient - leaks are avoided and if somewhere is leaking information, they cover up... - Parents help to keep this environment of mutual deception as soon as children begin to ask questions about their illness - Although the family members are very sad - they are usually not depressed... - Depression is characterized by a loss of self-respect... (R.W. Buckingham)
Golden Snow So
true death puts a stop on everyone's life dali48, the remaining parent
has to set aside their time of grief to attend to the children, it
sometimes is a help for them but sooner or later their time to clear
comes, quote: Body and soul are two separate units... unquote: Yes and a
beautiful thing it is.
Body & soul are not separate for me during life - They separate with death... (dali48)
Plato regarded the body and soul as separate entities. As a dualist, he also posited an "unreal" world of the senses and physical processes, and a "real" world of ideal forms. ... During the 13th century, Aristotle's ideas replaced Plato's ideas as the most influential philosophy in Christian thought.
Missing: S. Anthony units...
