When feelings are bound by shame, one becomes completely insensitive with time - this process is the prerequisite for every form of addiction, because only in the state of intoxication is such a person able to feel anything at all - Every addiction offers an opportunity for a man to have pleasant feelings or to avoid unpleasant ones - The mental injury caused by the sick shame breaks the self - One is made small before oneself and in ones own eyes an object of contempt - Every time a person who is deformed has his own true emotions, he is ashamed - and to avoid this pain, he stuns himself...
Splitting: "I can not remember what happened"...
Conversion: "If I have the feeling that something like that happens, I eat or have sex"...
Adult children have a certain way of avoiding true suffering:
They remain in their minds by concentrating on things in an obsessed way, analyzing everything, constantly discussing and reading, and they waste a lot of energy trying to get to the bottom of everything - Without pain, no success (see 12 steps-Program). If the child has been hurt in you, this phase (39-52 years) can take catastrophic forms... - We move from the illusion of certainty - to the certainty of the illusion... (S. Keen)
When we are ready to trust... - we have to make new choices:
Work, relationships, spirituality etc...
Sick shame:

Sick shame:

The sick shame murders the soul - and is passed on from one generation to the next...

Humiliations, spankings and beatings, slaps in the face, betrayal, sexual exploitation, derision, neglect, etc. are all forms of mistreatment, because they injure the integrity and dignity of a child, even if their consequences are not visible right away.

On the train to the EU Parliament, the Italian Senate, the Vatican and House of Parliament during the Easter holiday. And on Friday I’ll participate in the school strike in Rome.
