21.12.1998 - Interpretation of dali48
Life is life-threatening, - and people can be very cruel! - Everyone is conscious of this fact, and still lives - as if possible dangers were irrelevant to him. - Frequently, these constantly increased physical states of excitement may cause psychosomatic illnesses such as tension headache, migraine, sleep disorders, asthma or inflammatory diseases ... (Deffenbacher / Suinn, 1987)

Only dead fish - are swimming with the stream ... (R. Nehberg)

Now, however, restraining one's own thoughts, feelings, and behaviors is a great mental and physical exertion. To remain silent about the excruciating experiences is a never-ending form of stress. - The only way to relieve this stress is to talk about the terrible past. - If you are afraid and retreat yourself powerless - the original stress is switched off, but a different form of mental strain is caused by the retreat ... (S. Leidig)

The circle of fear and avoidance:
I feel more helpless, it is increasingly affecting partnership, work and leisure time, alcohol and drug abuse, sadness, distress, depression ... (Ratgeber Angst)

Any attempt to suppress anxiety in the body or mind - whether by distraction, avoidance or flight, - increases the anxiety problem or prolongs the anguish. - Some anxiety disorders can lead to depression in the long term, - and drug and alcohol abuse... (H. U. Wittchen)

In women, anxiety is at the top of mental illness! - In men, anxiety after alcoholism is the second most frequent mental disorder! - Untreated anxiety disorders are almost always chronic, that is, do not heal again by themselves. - The group of patients with panic disorder have a 17-fold risk of suicide ... (Coryell / Margraf, 1990)

In case of hyperventilation keep a plastic bag in front of your mouth and breathe the exhalation air until the CO2 content in the blood rises again and the muscles relax. - Calcium and soothing agents (see e.g. Valerian etc. - d.48) also help! - Transactions change settings ... (S. Leidig)

10.01.2013 - Interpretation of dali48
Anxiety attacks are triggered by incriminating life events and perceived as a massive physical and mental threat, which leads to a limitation of the capacity to act ... (S. Leidig)

Every morning people make their hair - in order, but not their heart ... (Chinese proverb)

Unreasonable way of life:
lack of physical activity, too little sleep, too many cigarettes, - irregular meals, frequent alcohol consumption, problems with relationships with partners, friends, colleagues, etc. - In the interest of physical and mental well-being, one must reduce professional or private tasks!  (S. Schneider, 1990)

Adult children of alcoholics have no clear idea, what is normal. - In a normal situation you need not always have to run an egg dance, - and you do not have to constantly question or suppress your feelings. Because you did that, you were also confused. - Lying is very basic for the family system affected by the alcohol. It comes partly as an obvious denial of unpleasant realities, as a cover-up, a failure to keep promise and unreliability. - There are very few people whom I show my feelings openly. I can feel myself destroyed inside, and when someone asks me, "How are you?" I say, "Good." - When I'm really honest, people look at me as if I were a stranger. - The result is that you have internalized this permanent criticism as a negative self-feeling.
Adult children of alcoholics have:
1 no clear notion, what is normal;
2 it is difficult for them to carry out a project from beginning to end;
3 lie, where it is so easy to tell the truth;
4 condemn themselves mercilessly;
5 It is hard for them to have fun!
6 take themselves too seriously!
7 have difficulties with intimate relationships ... (J. G. Woititz)
