In the "Tao Te Ching" we read:
Even if we try to see the path, it can not be seen. - So it can be described as "pale and shapeless." - Even if we try to hear it, it can not be heard. - We can describe it as "inaudibly quiet." - Even if we try to grasp it, it can not be touched. - So we can describe it as "subtle and tiny." - So the path is unfathomable, - and the 3 aspects end in one, - i.e. the path can only be represented as a pale, foggy and unfathomable deep "one." - The path is extremely indeterminate, extremely indistinct, and yet there is in it a sign of something, - and yet something is there ...
