13.04.2001 - Interpretation of dali48
Fear, loneliness oppresses many, emptiness and senselessness are spreading out - The ancient, mysterious abysses and questions have remained the same - Suffering, guilt, death are un-mastered as always - Suddenly there are epidemics... - in animals (see e.g. mad cow disease, bee deaths since ca. 2000 etc. - d.48) and in humans... - which confronts us with completely new questions - We can not be happy if we do not find the right way... (Rhine Post, 12.04.2001)
Life principles:
1 The "weed" principle - "weed" grows all by itself - "weed" (see wild, healing herbs etc. - d.48) just does not pass... - Anyone who has seen how a dandelion drills through the asphalt cover of a road becomes thoughtful - and gets respect for the vitality of these plants. Be in this sense a weed...
2 The standing-up principle: Since they have the center of gravity in themselves... - they are not really overthrown by anything...
Love and honor yourself - keep your self-esteem - and stay true to yourself. Concerning everything you do and think, always ask the question: am I really that?
Daydreams - as modern psychology has identified, are not an "escapism" in the negative sense. You relax and create a positive basic mood... - Likewise, you can enjoy everything you want in your dreams to the last detail without being disappointed - Dreams know no borders, so everything is possible - even the impossible... (H. Kluge)
Interpretation of dali48
Daydreams (pict. Daydream, French rêverie) are pictorial fantasies and imaginations comparable to dreams, which are experienced in the waking state of consciousness. These scenes can, in contrast to the usual dream happenings, be either deliberately controlled and deliberately brought about, or unfold themselves by inattention and diminishing the concentration. Here, attention is drawn from the external charms of the environment, from influences and tasks, and turns to the inner world... - Free phantasy played a special role for the French philosopher, writer and founder of the literary essay Michel de Montaigne. He described his own thinking, about whose enigmatic course his diary led, as wandering dreams. To the daydreams, he also included the philosophy in whose history the dreams of mankind could be found... - In the confessions of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, the meditative Rêverie was combined with intoxication and vision, memory and ecstasy. In his Rêveries du promeneur solitaire he described how it is possible for the day-dreaming to feel the overwhelming sense of happiness of a solitude with nature and an ongoing present... - Later it was used for shorter compositions by French composers like Georges Bizet or Claude Debussy; Robert Schumann's famous reveries are also translated in French with this word... - In Ernst Bloch's principle of hope, day-dream experiences a philosophical interpretation. Starting from the shortage of life, daydreams are "all dreams of a better life" full of utopian hope and possibilities... - In the beginning of the 19th century, the word entered the medical literature and became increasingly precise. Erasmus Darwin, for example, described the Rêverie as an attempt by the mind to relieve itself of painful sensations. With the phenomenon of relief, the path had already been laid for the development of psychological analysis at the end of the century, since Thomas Beddoes already emphasized his desire for reverie of wishes... - Darwin bounded the delirium from the daydream, the daydream, at which the development of the ideas can still be controlled by the person. On the other hand, there were French voices, which turned against the strict distinction between these mental states. In the peculiar association of ideas they saw a common feature between "dreaming" (rêverie) and dream (rêve), or saw only gradual differences between dream, daydream, and insanity. Thus, the pathological aspect was underlined, the daydreams were viewed as precursors of mental disorder, and the voluntary controllability of dreams was challenged... - Daydreams often revolve around practical matters to be dealt with in the future and interpersonal questions. Unrealistic speculations and dreams, with erotic fantasies, altruistic concerns and unlikely happiness, such as the great inheritance, the lottery prize, occur somewhat more rarely. Children in particular tend to enter an imaginary world, sometimes fleeing family problems, violent parents, and loneliness. Daydreams are less intense than dreams of the night; but the people differ in the extent and intensity with which they enter into their "castles in the air" and experience the other world. Probably the individual differences, which can not be covered by the usual psychological tests, depend on perpetual personality factors - In the topological or vector psychology of Kurt Lewin, daydreams are designated as locomotives on the plane of irreality - Various speculations are made about the biological function of day dreams. They could drive people and help them to bear boring activities, give a feeling for the connections of their past present and future. However, it is not excluded that day dreams have no practical value and only arise because the brain is able to do it... (Wikipedia)

Golden Snow
Such a true and honest post dali48, we move through our lives with a very uneven keel weaving from one way to the other. The gentle of heart in a whirl with of emotions. It ruins our lives and destroys our true feeling. Suffering, guilt, death are unmastered feelings they seem to partake of our energy. We should be taught in a much different way from birth. We need to have confidence in our own abilities, but most times that is taken away at a young age. My feelings.

Daydreaming is the stream of consciousness that detaches from current external tasks when attention drifts to a more personal and internal direction.
