15.12.2012 - Interpretation of dali48
Mysticism is about immediate religious experience, the experience itself - it rejects every knowledge of "God" as a determination of others... - Thus the true sinful fall of man is the alienation of himself, the submission to a strange power, even when disguised as a worship of "God" - for it must necessarily assume an authoritarian character wherever religion pacts with secular power - Man is no longer of his own a value, but because of his "merchantability", his "attractiveness" on the market, his utility in the given social structure - With this "marketing orientation", which is primarily dependent on the recognition of the others, man loses his identity because he becomes alien to himself - If the highest value of the human being is success, and when love, truth, justice, tenderness, and compassion are of no use to him, then he may turn to these ideals... - but he will no longer aspire to them - He may imagine himself to worship the "God of love," but in truth he worships an image of idols which is the idealization of his real goals - those that are in his "marketing orientation"...
