23.09.1997 - Interpretation of dali48

If, however, you are able to give up slowly the notion of durability - then the attachment becomes weaker in this life...

If you are constantly aware of the inconstancy by recognizing that it is the nature of things to be continually decaying - you will probably not suffer too much of a fright (shock) by death when it is actually there...

In order to completely overcome death, one has to silence one's own suffering-causing emotions - for when the emotions that are causing pain are over - then birth ceases, and with that death ends ...

To realize this requires a great effort - and to develop this effort in itself, it helps to reflect on death and impermanence - If one thinks of death and impermanence, the wish arises to avoid it - and this causes one to ask for methods by which the death can be overcome...

In Vasubandhus, "The Treasure House of Knowledge", it is said that life is the basis of warmth and consciousness - while death means the end of this function...

We are alive when this temporal, coherent body is connected with the consciousness - if both separate, is that death...

The Buddhist rejects blind faith - Already Buddha urged his disciples to accept only that which is evident in the thoughtful reason - and is strengthened by their own experience...

The projection of an artificially secondary relationship structure to the world - which is self-centered, leads to an ominous polarity of desire (attraction) and hate (aversion)...

The 6 perfections:
Giving, right behavior, patience, effort, concentration, wisdom ...

Nirvana = blowing away - extinguish... (Dalai Lama)
