"Write your life - Or they'll wait till you're dead to write the lie"... (@spectraspeaks)
Part 90... by Golden Snow
I found the silence of the apartment like music to my soul. I sat and took out my journal and began to plan what I could do to make the transaction easy for everyone. I know I would never return to Danny. I also knew he would never take this easy. I got up and made toast and cheese. I had forgotten supper the day before and felt a little sick. I really worried about my family. They would also be upset with my action but I had to stand my ground and get a bit of life back.
To obtain this a few would be hurt. But it would heal in time. They were all married and happy, and that was my first step forward. They had their own life, and now I wanted mine. I received a call from a friend, and she asked me to meet with a counsellor from AA. "I am not having trouble with drinking," I told her. "I know," she said, "please, he is a wonderful counsellor and will help you with fear and how to do things right because you can not be getting sick to your stomach everyday." "He is a recovering alcoholic for ten years, and he will help you." "I will set up a meeting for you, okay?" I reluctantly accepted, and she called back in about five minutes and said that they would be out that very evening. This seemed a little fast but since she would be with him, I agreed. I went to a near by beach and sat wrapped in my coat listening to the sounds of the sea, and the seagulls were crying out to each other. The ocean was wild and noisily. I watched the large waves dash against the shore leaving a large foam behind. I was remembering my mother saying that it was Mother Nature doing her wash... It made me smile. As I raised to go I threw my hands in the air and thanked the ocean for the refreshing sounds and smells. I stood feeling small and significant but for the first time I felt strong. I stayed and meditated for awhile relaxing into nothingness...
My soul felt renewed and ready for the meeting that night. I stopped at a fish and chip place and ordered, and it smelled so good that I felt hungry. I returned home about an hour before they were to come. So I showered and made a coffee waiting for their knock on the door. They were on time, and as I answered my friend gave me a big hug, and introduced the man beside her as Father MacDonald... I felt a little safer as she said: "I will leave you two and be back in awhile"...
