Interpretation of dali48

 

The "Gloria" in D major (RV 589) is one of the most famous sacred works of Antonio Vivaldi (see dali48 and Classical and Instrumental Music etc. - d.48), and was previously never recorded for television. ARTE shows the work in combination with the "Gloria" (RV 588), a score that differs in some parts of the original - The Concerto Italiano plays under the baton of Rinaldo Alessandrini. Contralto Sara Mingardo takes over the solo part. The concert was recorded in the Lombard Crema in autumn 2008... (ARTE, 4 / 2010)
