Eric Klemm: Of course I have read him as a child, and was impressed. When I emigrated to Canada, I suddenly had contact with real Indians. Then I thought back again to Winnetou and Old Shatterhand. But Karl May was a dreamer. - What he wrote was true, perhaps long ago. Today, American Indians are America's Sinti and Roma: they are oppressed and discriminated, with no money, no job, often without native land, homeless...
ARTE: What is the life on the reservation?
EK: Reserves are the saddest places I've ever seen. You need to imagine them like run-down council estates. Governments have taken the land of the Indians with beautiful forests and rivers, and gave them some tiny insignificant area instead, and put on miserable little houses. Indians are very tightly connected to their home country (see honey-bees etc. - d.48)...
Each tree is important to them. - The reserves have never filled with life, because Indians are miserable there. I once met an old man, who said: "I'd rather live on the streets than on the reservation" - That says it all... (ARTE, 2 / 2010)

Infidelity belongs to human nature, and thus bears the fact that by 3 to 4 years of living together - "chemistry" gets lost in witchcraft between 2 people - and by the outgoing charm of sexual partners... Most divorces (according to statistics) happen in the 4th year of marriage... The successful functioning of a relationship depends on the expectation that man and woman bring an equivalent into their marriage (see e.g. money and sex etc. - d.48)... "Love" is given on the condition and quiet expectation to receive an equivalent in return. - In this respect the idea of the so-called selfless love turns out to be as a delusion (see TV etc. - d.48)... Market factors are ultimately also prevailing in a partnership according to which one must give something to get something. - The most stable and happy marriage will therefore be then, if a balance between performance and compensation is available and each one gets exactly what he - in his opinion is entitled to... It is by no means necessary to give the same for the same: Love will be exchanged on safety, - sex for material donations (money), and attractiveness for warmth...
