15.10.2009 - Interpretation of dali48

At the time when continuity was interrupted by the first nuclear explosion, it would have been too easy to recover the formal sediment which linked us with an age of poetic decorium, of a preoccupation with poetic sounds. After the turbulence of death, moral principles and even religious proofs are called into question - Men of letters who cling to the private successes of their petty aesthetics shut themselves off from poetry's restless presence - From the night, his solitude, the poet finds day - and starts a diary that is lethal to the inert...

The poet is a nonconformist - and does not penetrate the shell of the false literary civilization - which is full of defensive turrets - as in the time of the Communes...

He passes from lyric to epic poetry in order to speak about the world and the torment in the world through man, rationally and emotionally - The poet then becomes a danger...

The poetry is the total sum of the diverse "experiences" - of the man of his times...

His (poet's) language is difficult not because of philological reasons of spiritual obscurity, but because of its content - Poets can be translated - men of letters cannot, because they use intellectual skills to copy other poets' techniques and support Symbolism or Decadence - for their lack of content... (S. Quasimodo, Nobel L. 1959)

16.10.2009 - Interpretation of dali48

How do writers see themselves today: as a modern version of a "Poète maudit?" - As a self-employed person? - Or as the idealized embodiment of our entertainment societies? ... (ARTE, program 15.10.2009)

Writers see themselves as such because they have always liked to read and write a lot - They have, for example, come to writing by many incidents of fate or a long and difficult history of disease - Some have also tried to combine what they have read with their own painful experiences - and to process them literarily... (dali48)

In the consecrated earth, the professing pantheist (Monet) could not and did not want to be buried - his only "God" was the nature - and her image of his beloved garden... (Rhine Post, 14.10.2009)
