2006 the following news made headlines from the U.S., billions of bees have died. Many beekeepers have found empty hives - The U.S. government commissioned a group of scientists with the investigation of this mysterious death, which immediately got a name: Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD; in German: "pollination collapse")…
About the causes there are only guesses - gene mutation - new pesticides (see neonicotinoids etc. – d.48) - mobile radiation - a virus - but no definitive knowledge…
For four years governments and various scientific institutions are investing significant resources in research and possible elimination of the cause of this programmed catastrophe - Has science found an answer? - Can they save the bees at all?
To answer these questions, the work of various teams of scientists with different assumptions was watched by the documentary “The Mystery of the dying bees”, that tries to understand the causes of the global threat to wild honey bees - The film also asks the question how it came to the radical changes in the relationship between humans and bees (no thanks for the bees' works and no love of nature - but greed for profit etc. - d.48), which has been in equilibrium for a long time…

So far there are no accurate diagnoses of the scientists. But even if the research pins down the causes, there is still no cure found - The science remains powerless as long as agricultural production methods are not being questioned and changed…

The cost of profit is loss of biodiversity, and we are starting to pay that price now. The loss of bees and other pollinators is extremely important - we humans could cease to exist if all pollinators become extinct, because all our food depends on them.
