If one kills a louse, where does the life go that is in the animal? - Will it disappear from this world forever? - When a cherry branch is placed in a vase, its buds are turned into blossoms and leaves, but it will be less than if one had left the branch at its tree. - Life is different (see "flora and fauna", etc. - d.48) in the broken branch as the life in the tree?
This is the way (see e.g. Tao etc. - d.48). I must only believe firmly in nature and "God," then all problems will be solved - whether they are more personal - family-like - or social type... (D. Ikeda)
