Fat Rally 2007 in the U.S., the 1st Fat Rally took place:
5 teams traveled from Washington DC to Costa Rica. Instead of driving on gasoline, they tapped waste oils and fats at fast-food shops, factories and farms - On their way the "eco-drivers" visited bio-fuel-projects...
This means for me: Bio-fuel is no alternative for today, as long as there is hunger and poverty - Food production is primary - fuel production is secondary - e.g., it increased the costs of maize for poor people in Mexico... (dali48)
