I am a bird lover and have to admit this is a good question. I got a little confused going from Ontario to Arkansas but I think you are saying the same thing happened in both places?
see dali48 and a bird's visit at his skylight (9.9.2021) in Wickrath, see seagulls from the coast of the Netherlands coming for fodder in winter to the park of Wickrath, - see "Flora & Fauna" since ca. the year 2000 etc. 
see dali48 and 2024. No outbreaks of HPAIV H5 in domestic poultry or captive birds were detected in Germany between 1 and 31 May 2024. No HPAI H5 cases have been detected and reported in wild birds or other wild mammals either.
