2500 years ago, the Parthenon (Jungfrauengemach) on the Athenian Acropolis was built as a temple for the patron goddess Pallas Athena. How was it possible to build this architectural masterpiece without modern aids? The temple was built in gratitude for the salvation of Athens after the last Persian war. Since almost 2500 years it is recognized as the epitome of beauty and perfection.
