13.12.1997 - Interpretation of dali48

If we want to die well, we must learn - to live well:
if we hope for a peaceful death - then we must cultivate peace in our spirit and in our way of life...
By practice, "Samten" had found an acceptance of his death, and to the clear understanding that suffering and pain are part of a deep, natural purification process - I understood that people nowadays learn to displace death, and therefore see nothing but annihilation and loss in dying - that is, most people either completely deny death, or live in fear of it - without a genuine, authentic belief in a life after it - most people lead a life without ultimate meaning... (14th Dalai Lama)

The modern industrial society is a fanatical religion - We deny, poison and destroy all the life systems on this planet - We issue debts - which our children will not be able to redeem...
We act as if we are the last generation on this planet - Without a radical change in our hearts, our minds and our vision - the earth will end like Venus: dead and charred...
Our society is youth, sex and power-obsessed - age and decay are simply ousted... (ex-Minister of the Environment of Brazil)
